Dorm

Korallen

About Korallen

Korallen was built in 2007 by RUC. It is located in the eastern part of Trekroner, just a few minutes’ walk from RUC. The dormitory has three floors, and the residents are approx. 50/50% Danish students and exchange students from both RUC and Absalon. The dormitory has 107 rooms, all with their own small kitchen and own bathroom. 101 of the rooms are about 15 square metres, while the remaining 6 are bigger apartments at about 25 square metres. All the rooms have a fast internet connection.

On each floor, there are big common kitchens with an extra fridge, two ovens and stoves. You can socialize with other residents here. Every kitchen also has a big balcony, where you can enjoy the view over Trekroner. By two of the kitchens, there are laundry machines and dryers, where the cost of washing is put on the rent for the next coming month.

Outside, there is a big common garden with fruit trees and table tennis by the bike shed. There are also benches and the possibility to have a barbeque in the yard.

Trekroner

In the area around Trekroner Station, there are two grocery stores and a selection of specialty stores. There are also cafes and restaurants nearby, as well as a pizza place.

Transport

From the dorm there is:

  • A 5 minute walk to RUC
  • An under 1 minute walk to Absalon.
  • An about 15 minute walk to Trekroner Station, where you can get to Copenhagen in 25 minutes and Roskilde in 3 minutes by train. There is also bus 201A, 209 departing from Trekroner Station. Bus 220 departs from the stop “Arboretvej” close to Korallen, and if you are on the bus from Roskilde or Trekroner Station, the stop is conveniently called “Korallen, Kollegium” and stops right in front of the dorm.
  • It takes about 30 minutes by public transportation to reach ZIBAT.
