Laundry
There are no laundry facilities in Rockwool, and residents here are referred to wash their clothes in Kolibrien.
There are two washing machines and one dryer in Kolibrien. Please be aware that residents from Rockwool do not have their own washing machines and are referred to Kolibrien for washing their clothes.
You use the small grey chip, which you received with your keys to enter the laundry room and to start the machines.
Using the machines
The washing machines in Kolibrien have a selection of programmes, which you can choose from. The machine has automatic dosage of laundry detergent, while you can choose neutral-scented fabric softener for free. The laundry machine opens with a selection between 30°, 40° and 60° – but further programs can be chosen. It is not allowed to use the washing machine to color fabrics. It typically takes about 40 minutes to an hour for a cycle to finish.
The dryer also has a selection of programmes, both time-based, and programs based on the dryness of your clothes. It is important to empty the filter after using the dryer, as the fluff can catch on fire or cause the dryer to become defect.
When you are done washing your clothes, please pick up your clothes as fast as possible, so others also can use the machines.
Prices:
- Price for regular washing: DKK 15 pr. cycle.
- Price for dryer: DKK 0,60 pr. minute.
The bill for laundry will be added to your rent the following month.
