Rules of order

The dorm has the following Rules of Order: 

§1. The tenant is responsible for the room rented at the dormitory and its furniture. If the dormitory resident does any damage, the resident will pay a compensation, with normal wear and tear taken into consideration. 

§2. Any sublet shall be approved of by the administration according to the guidelines from the board. Sublet payment is not allowed to be higher than the current rent. 

§3. The dormitory must not be used as a permanent address for anyone besides the tenant. 

§4. The tenant is obliged to participate in keeping the common facilities clean according to the current instructions. 

§5

1) There has to be peace and order paying common consideration to others. Each dormitory resident is responsible for their guests’ behaviour. 

2) Extra consideration should be shown during the hours from 23:00 to 7:00 o’clock. 

3) It can be permitted to have parties Fridays and Saturdays after 23 o’clock when this procedure is followed: 

a) A written application is delivered at the inspector’s office 10 AM the Monday before the party along with a deposit of 300 DKK. The application form can be acquired at the inspector’s office. The party is to be announced on the dormitory’s Facebook page and by bulletin (A4-format) in the kitchen/common room and delivered to the closest neighbours (i.e. halls and rooms in immediate connection to the kitchen/common room) at the same time. The bulletin-form can also be acquired at the inspector’s office when you hand over the application. If some of the receivers of the announcement are against the party (for instance because of an upcoming exam or because of an already high frequenzy of parties) it is not allowed to have the party. 

b) The parties may only be had Fridays and Saturdays and not in the same kitchen/common room both days. 

c) The parties must be ended at 2 AM. At 3 AM there must be quiet.

d) The kitchen/common room must be clean at 4 PM the following day at the latest. 

e) If all the rules have been followed the deposit will be returned the following Monday after the party. Missing/insufficient cleaning will result in a reduction of the deposit. 

§6. Sale or abuse of euphoriants can result in termination of tenancy. 

§7. It is not allowed to keep pets in the dormitory. 

§8. Children are not allowed to stay in the dormitory.

§9. It is not allowed to place bicycles or other items in the common hallways, since these must be clear in case of emergencies. 

§10. Complaints about violations of the rules of order shall be handled in the following manner: 

Complaints are presented to the administration. If the complaint is judged to be justified a written warning is sent to the tenant in question. 

The third written complaint can result in termination of the tanancy. In addition, please refer to the rental contract and the Law of Lease. 

§11. Smoking is not allowed at the dormitory. Smoking in the outside arears (except the balcony) is permitted. 

§12. The current rules of order can only be changed by the board.
