Common Kitchens
In Korallen, you’ll find 12 common kitchens at the end of each hallway. The kitchens each have two stoves with ovens underneath as well as a common refrigerator and freezer. In the common kitchen, there are cabinets and drawers for kitchen utensils.
You’ll also find a dishwasher and a kitchen sink with a cabinet underneath for cleaning supplies.
The different rooms are divided into a cleaning schedule, which are responsible for keeping the kitchen clean. However, it is still expected that once you have used the kitchen, you will clean up after yourself. Every Monday. the inspector checks the kitchen, and if the kitchens are not sufficiently clean, all the rooms will be fined on the next rent.
The kitchens also all have tables and chairs for dining as well as some couch/relaxing areas, where you can relax and eat while watching TV.
Outdoors
Outside of Korallen, you can find the trash containers, mailboxes and bike shed next to each other.
In Roskilde Municipality, there are rules about trash sorting and therefore you must make sure to sort the trash in the correct containers.
Next to the trash containers is where the mailboxes are located. If you receive mail that doesn’t belong to you, leave it in the mailbox for room #1, and the inspector will forward it to the right person.
Next to the mailboxes is the bike shed. It is your own responsibility to buy a lock for your bike if you place your bike there, as it is an open bike shed. Once during the semester, there will be a check of which bikes are being used – if you have not removed the marker in time, your bike will be removed.
At the far right of the bike shed, you can play table tennis. Please be aware that you must have your own equipment to play.
Between Korallen and the bike shed, you’ll also find a garden with a lot of fruit trees at your disposal as well as places to barbecue.
